    Until I got a laptop in 2009, I had never seen a proper English movie. In college, the people, with whom I came into touch, were from all over the country and speak all the major languages. English was a bridge to connect all. That time, I heard that there are lots of good movies and series in the English language. And very soon it became the fad among students to watch series like F.R.I.E.N.D.S, HIMYM, Prison Break and several legendary series like these. When I first decided to watch some Hollywood movie, I just Googled ' best movie of all time'. And IMDb was there to help and I am and will be thankful to it always.     A trivia which I came to know recently is that- there was a time in 1994 when movies like The Shawshank Redemption, Forest Gump, Pulp Fiction and two other incredible movies were in the theatre at the same time. A friend of mine asked me " how did you come to the title 'Maayna', this sounds impressive". I casually answered 'that because it sounded impressive'. By the way you don't think that's correct , do you? Well, the answer is no.  Before that life changing accident, life was always least on my mind. Answer of every question about what is my favourite this and that used to follow with the word 'ummm'. Definitely I had favourites but nothing was quite sorted out. Anyway, coming to the point; why the word 'Maayna'? Imagine a situation, okay not imagine but think one. You are fallen on ground chest down, unable to get up, unable to breathe and even unable to crawl. What would you do? And I always thought that it takes great courage and mental strength to keep your feeling and emotions within yourself. But now I find that it rather takes more courage to let other know about yourself and how you feel. Hi, I am Alok and I never thought that one day I'll blog about myself. We all have heard that how life can make us do things we have never imagined in our better times. But just one wrong turn or sometimes  not able to take a turn can turn your life upside-down. In Oct, 2015, I met an unfortunate accident and got injured my cervical spinal cord  which rendered me paralyzed neck below with almost 90% disability and probably(not definitely) wheelchair bound for life. This is just a small attempt where I think I can let out my emotions, feelings or anything else and I hope one day I'll be able to share everything.
